GROUND TURKEY SALISBURY STEAKS

INGREDIENTS

Combine the meat with the spices and condiments. Shape into elongated patties.

Cook the turkey patties in a non-stick skillet for 2-3 minutes per side to brown.

Remove the patties from the skillet, keep warm. Do not wash the skillet. Melt the butter and add the onions and mushrooms.

Cook them gently for 4-5 minutes until the onions start to soften.

Add the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes while stirring almost constantly.

Add the broth and stir well gently scrapping bits off the bottom. Keep stirring until the flour dissolves.

Add the patties to the skillet, cover, and cook 20 min. flipping halfway through the cooking time. Uncover the last few minutes to thicken the gravy further.

Taste the gravy and add salt, if needed. Serve the Salisbury steaks over a bed of mashed potatoes, if desired, and enjoy.
