White Bean Turkey Chili

ABOUT THIS RECIPE This turkey chili is made with convenience and fresh ingredients. It’s a happy balance that yields a delicious chili without spending all afternoon in the kitchen.

Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onions and cook 4-5 min., stir often. Then, add the garlic and cook 1 min. while stirring.

Raise the heat and add the ground turkey, sprinkle with the prepared seasoning mix and stir well to combine the ingredients.

Arrange the turkey into a layer and cook for 3 min. Stir, break-up large pieces, arrange again and cook for 2-3 min. or until browned.

Add the tomatoes, white beans, and chicken broth to the pot. Bring the liquid to a boil. Then, lower the heat, cover the pot and simmer for 30 min.

Uncover the pot and cook for 10-20 min. until the chili thickens. Stir often to make sure it is not sticking. You can see on the side of the pot how much the liquid reduced as it thickened.

Taste the chili and add salt if needed. Garnish, serve and enjoy.
