Ingredients: ground beef, oil, tomato paste, ketchup, Worcestershire, salt, oregano, pepper, onion, garlic, macaroni, beef broth, cheddar cheese, half & half
Heat the oil in a large pot. Add the beef, tomato paste, ketchup, Worcestershire, salt, oregano, and pepper. Stir arrange in a single layer.
Cook the beef for 3 minutes. Then stir, breaking up large pieces, cook 2-3 minutes or until browned.
Lower the heat to medium and add the onions. Cook them for 2 minutes, or until translucent. Stir frequently.
Add the minced garlic to the ground beef mixture and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir frequently.
Add the macaroni and beef broth. Bring to a simmer. Lower the heat, cover the pot and cook for 13-15 minutes until the macaroni is tender.
Take the pot off the heat, add in the half and half and the shredded cheese. Stir until combined and the cheese is melted.
Taste the cheeseburger macaroni and add salt if needed. As a reference we added ¼ teaspoon to ours.
It will thicken as it cools, and the pasta absorbs the sauce. If it looks soupy give it a few minutes uncovered.
